When the world went into lockdown in March of this year hidden talents were unearthed everywhere as women looked to combat boredom and keep depression at bay. Some of us discovered we were baking queens, others explored knitting and needlepoint, large swaths of the population went back to school to chase degrees and new career opportunities, and a lot of us found ourselves on TikTok. Pre-Covid, TikTok was still largely considered a Gen Z social app, but the pandemic changed all that and everyone from first time moms to senior citizens found themselves connecting and creating community virtually. My next guest started her TikTok account in April and as of this recording has amassed 4.8 million followers. Dubbed the CEO of Facial Expressions, it’s not hard to see why people flock to her. She is all at once, funny, warm, self-deprecating, smart, beautiful, and thoughtful. Simply put, you can see her as your best friend, and let’s face it, we could call use another best friend.
