Kultura u Srbiji - advanced (B1.2-C1)

from Unlock your Serbian · host Nevena & Jelena

Listen to the longer version (36 minutes) & read the transcript with English translations by becoming a member! And welcome to a new episode of Unlock Your Serbian with Jelena and Nevena. That's right, welcome to another episode of our podcast and today we are talking about culture. We want to talk about whether culture is important in Serbia and what its place is in society in general. Yes, this is a topic that Jelena suggested and you immediately said that this is a very broad topic, so we can talk about it from many angles. And for me, the first association was definitely a conversation about theaters. Because when we think about culture, somehow I always think of plays, of theaters, and of that one aspect of entertainment. Because it really is very different from when we go to the cinema.I rekla bih da zapravo ima mnogo ljudi koji idu redovno u pozorišta i to vidimo ako želimo, na primer, da kupimo kartu. And I would say that there are actually many people who go to theaters regularly and we see that if we want, for example, to buy a ticket. And in Belgrade it's like that, in principle, we wait for the end of the month for theaters to release the repertoire for the next month and we have to be very fast so that we manage to buy a ticket, especially for popular plays, that is, plays that are the most visited at that moment.Send us your questions!
