La Hermandad del Carmen de Conil subasta su atún solidario

La Hermandad del Carmen de Conil ha informado de la captura y posterior subasta del tradicional ‘Atún del Carmen 2026’, un ejemplar de 227 kilos que ha alcanzado un precio final de 10.442 euros en la lonja tras su venta a 46 euros el kilo. El atún fue capturado en la almadraba conileña de Punta Atalaya y ha sido adquirido por el restaurante Timón de Roche, un establecimiento que, según la hermandad, viene participando en esta tradición desde el año 2017. El importe obtenido en la subasta se destinará a diferentes fines sociales y religiosos, entre ellos la colaboración con entidades sociales y vecinales sin ánimo de lucro, Cáritas y la parroquia, así como ayudas sociales, cultos y salida procesional. También se empleará en la conservación, restauración y adquisición de patrimonio, además del mantenimiento de la capilla y la casa de hermandad. Desde la Hermandad del Carmen se ha querido agradecer tanto a la almadraba Punta Atalaya como al restaurante adjudicatario su implicación en esta iniciativa solidaria, que cada año vincula tradición marinera, gastronomía y labor social en la localidad
