El 14 de marzo se celebra en todo el mundo el día del número Pi. Fue una idea del físico norteamericano Larry Shaw, que en el año 1998 propuso dicha celebración porque en Estados Unidos la fecha se escribe como 3/14.... Habitualmente, la celebración se concentra a la 01:59 (en reconocimiento de la aproximación de seis dígitos: 3,1415. En el campo de la música existen creaciones musicales basadas en la asignación de notas a cada uno de los decimales del número Pi. Hoy escucharemos un ejemplo relacionado con este número singular: una versión de la música creada por David Macdonald quien toma el número Pi y le asigna a los 8 primeros dígitos una nota de la escala de La menor armónica.
