È il 25 maggio 1965, siamo a Lewistone nel Maine. Sul ring ci sono Muhammad Ali e Sonny Liston. È un match che nessuno ha voluto, tanto puzza di bluff e di mafia. Ali piazza un destro apparentemente innocuo, quasi appoggiato, e poi manca completamente l’avversario col sinistro. Il “pugno fantasma” ha appena fatto la sua apparizione nella storia del pugilato e Sonny Liston è appena finito al tappeto. La scena, imperitura icona di una leggenda, è anche uno dei momenti clou del film "Alì" di Michael Mann del 2001. A vestire i panni di Sonny Liston vi è un attore, che attore in realtà non è, e che ha una storia tutta da raccontare: il suo nome è Michael Bentt.
