Lack of Motivation After Brain Injury on Recovery Now with Kim & Caren
from A Recovery Now · host Kim Justus
Adynamia: Understanding Lack of Motivation After Brain Injury - When survivors demonstrate a lack of motivation and seem disengaged in daily activities it may be a condition called adynamia, which can result from damage to the frontal lobe. Low motivation after brain injury is more a symptom of brain injury than a personal choice to be lazy. It’s important to understand why this occurs. This show is a gathering place for anyone seeking recovery from the challenges of life on life's terms. We discuss useful tools that have helped us lighten the load, of our journey through recovery. This is a "we" recovery program, because it is in the "we," that we find the new "me." We focus on the four A's of Recovery: Awareness, Acceptance, Action and Adaptation. This is a place for survivor's striving to become thrivers, which takes a good bit of Warrior! Hosted by Kim Justus, author of In a Flash: Miracles Here and Beyond and Hootie’s Hollow and the Magic Tree found at inaflash.org and Amazon & "Like" me at facebook.com/inaflash.org too!
