El Lacrimosa es la parte final de la Sequentia Dies Irae y es utilizada dentro de la misa de difuntos también conocida como réquiem. Uno de los requiem más famoso fue compuesto hacia 1793 por Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart. Inspirado en el Lacrimosa de este requiem, 200 años después el músico dominicano Juan Luis Guerra compone una pieza que lleva el mismo nombre. Escucharemos hoy en principio el Lacrimosa de Mozart de manos de la Orquesta Filarmónica de Berlín, seguido por la propuesta de Juan Luis Guerra.
