He has already released on renowned labels like @lokdbasel, @monada-project, and @trndmusik. and is known for his love of groovy 🕺, steady tunes 🌌in the 100–118 BPM range – always depending on the vibe he’s aiming for. Khayal sent us an exclusive podcast recorded during sunset 🌅 at @sunfishcollective at the beautiful Lake Maggiore 🏞️ in Italy on May 23rd, 2025. A fun set with retro vibes 🪩. Cheerful and uplifting with some yet unreleased tracks 🤍🫶. 🏔️ 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗞𝗵𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗹, 𝗴𝗹𝗮𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼𝗱𝗮𝘆! 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗯𝗲𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗮𝗹𝗶𝗮𝘀 𝗞𝟮𝗪𝟬? The name K2W0 (pronounced K-Two) is inspired by K2, the mountain in Pakistan. It’s the second highest peak in the world and a little homage to where I come from. The “W0” twist gives it a slightly cryptic edge, while still reading as “two.” 🏔️ 𝗬𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗶𝗼 𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝗸𝘀 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘁𝗿𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗲𝗹𝗹? Every track I make is like a diary entry. It reflects the people I meet, places I’ve been, and how I’m feeling in that moment. I want listeners to connect to something real through the music – whether it’s joy, melancholy, or just getting lost in the groove. 🏔️ 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗿𝗮𝘄 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰? It’s a bit of a melting pot. Blues and rock legends like BB King and Jimi Hendrix definitely influenced my emotional range early on. On the electronic side, artists like Persian Empire and Stavroz have helped shape how I build atmosphere and groove. 🏔️ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝘁𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗖𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲? 𝗔𝗻𝘆 𝘂𝗻𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗴𝗲𝘁𝘁𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀? The crowd, 100%. Everyone was tuned in and had such a good energy. But the real standout moment was playing as the sun dipped behind Lago Maggiore. That sunset, the lake, the music — it all just clicked. Felt like a dream. 🏔️ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗯𝗶𝗴𝗴𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰? Honestly, collaborating with artists I admire and eventually launching my own label nights. I want to create a space that’s not just about the music, but about community and shared experiences.
