He creates immersive atmospheres that pull you in while keeping the rhythm energetic and hypnotic 🌀🔥. Wanna know how his sound sounds? Repeat OONDZA three times in a row and press play! 💨🕺💃 💥 Welcome Kyle, how did your artist name come about? Oondza originally started as a duo with my friend Niko. We were trying to find a name that matched the vibe of the music we were making. When you repeat the word “Oondza” it almost sounds like a tribal groove. At least that is what we thought at the time. The name stuck and it felt like the right fit for the project. 💥 How did you get into electronic music and when did you decide to start producing? I got into electronic music around 2010 and started going to events in Montreal. A big turning point for me was attending the Eclipse Festival in Quebec. That experience really changed something for me. Over time I became friends with some of the organizers and in 2022 I had the chance to perform there myself. That felt like a real full circle moment. 💥 What is the hardest part of being a producer that nobody really talks about? For me it is simply finding the time. I work for a tech company and I also have two kids, so free time is precious. Balancing work, family life and music can be challenging, but it also makes the time I spend producing feel even more meaningful. 💥 What is your biggest dream when it comes to electronic music? One of my biggest dreams would be to play at Boom Festival. It is a place I have always wanted to experience and getting the chance to share my music there would be very special. 💥 Is there anything you would like to say to the listeners? It was a pleasure to prepare this set and I hope you enjoy the journey. Sending good energy from Canada.
