1957 yılında pastane olarak açılan Lale Pastanesi, Divanyolu Caddesi'nde altı numarada küçük bir dükkândı. İlk yıllarda yalnızca pastane ürünleri sunulurken, zamanla kahvaltı, nescafe, hatta tencere yemekleri de menüye eklendi. 1966’dan itibaren bira servisi de başladı.
