In früherer Zeit gab es eine Wallfahrt zum Gnadenbild "Unserer Lieben Frau von Lampferding". Das Gotteshaus in jetziger Form entstand um das Jahr 1520. Die gotische Kirche wurde in barocker Zeit und im Klassizismus modernisiert, was ihr Bild bis heute prägt.
