Langhorne-based dental clinic to pay $1M for misleading elderly patients, AG says
from KYW Newsradio Audio On-Demand
The Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General has reached a $1 million settlement with Infinity Dental, a dental provider that prosecutors said pushed elderly patients into expensive dental services under the pretense that Medicare would pay for them. The company does business as Alpha Dental Excellence in Langhorne, Bucks County. It will pay back customers $517,000, and it has to fork over about the same amount in fines and penalties to the state. Prosecutors said Alpha Dental used aggressive marketing tactics, including “free dinners,” to sell services as it misrepresented coverage. Medicare does not cover dental procedures.
