THE THEME FOR THIS YEAR IS US BECOMING GOOD GROUND!Through discipleship you will become more like ChristThrough discipleship the church will growDiscipleship for us, will look like us spending time together, gathering together, iron sharpening iron. We will do this through our small groups, fasting, nights of prayer and worship, collectively reading through books or materials, being a light & serving our community.Now let’s break this down.Discipleship is not where disciples are formed. Disciples are formed one day at a time, one encounter at a time.Were Jesus 12 disciples formed and forged in the temple or outside of it?THEY LEARNED FROM THE MESSIAH BY WATCHING HIM AT WEDDINGS, AT WELLS TALKING TO SAMARITANS, SLEEPING IN THE STORMS, WALKING ON WATER IN THE MIDST OF A STORM, RESURRECTING THE DEAD FROM TOMBS, AND BEDROOMS, MULTIPLYING THE BIGGEST LUNCHABLE ANYONE HAS EVER SEEN, OFFERING UP HIS LIFE TO THE POINT OF DEATH ON A WOODEN CROSSTHE DISCIPLES BECAME DISCIPLES THROUGH JESUS’ INVITATION TO FOLLOW HIS LIFE!!!!
