But how does that formation actually happen? Through worship—not simply singing songs, but through what we continually exalt, focus on, and give our attention to. Formation is the byproduct of what we exalt.From Israel and the golden calf to Paul’s words in 2 Corinthians 3:18, Scripture reveals a powerful truth: we become like who or what we worship. Worshiping idols deforms us; worshiping Jesus transforms us into His likeness.So how do we behold Jesus? Chronicles – Week 3 | What's In Your Heart?This week, we explore Solomon's request for wisdom in 2 Chronicles 1 and discover why God was pleased with what was in his heart. Chronicles Series – Week 2: Inquire AgainIn Week 2 of our Chronicles series, we continue exploring how God invites us to view our history through the lens of His faithfulness rather than our failures. When we remember what God has done, hope is renewed, courage is restored, and faith begins to rise.Looking at 1 Chronicles 14, we discover David's habit of continually inquiring of the Lord. Even after receiving direction once, David didn't rely on yesterday's word for today's battle. When the opposition returned, David sought God again. His example reminds us that a thriving relationship with God is built on daily dependence, not occasional consultation.We also examine David's journey of bringing the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem. After an unsuccessful attempt driven by human methods, David learned the importance of following God's instructions rather than relying on self-made solutions. The Psalms | Episode 2: Lament Is for a SeasonThe Psalms teach us how to live in communion with God and lift our lives to Him—even in sorrow. This week we enter the language of lament: the cries, questions, and groans of the soul. David, the giant-killer king, penned Psalm 13 asking, “How long, O Lord?” Psalm 88 ends in darkness. Psalm 22 begins with anguish yet points straight to the cross and resurrection.Here’s the truth: even leaders struggle, even saints feel forgotten. But lament is not unbelief—it’s worship in the dark. It’s prophecy in the pain. And Jesus Himself sang the song of lament to show us the turnaround was already written.
