Latvijas laikmetīgās mākslas aina: 25 gadu pieredze un jauns aizsākums

Latvijas Laikmetīgās mākslas centrs (LLMC) atzīmē savu 25. pastāvēšanas gadskārtu, īstenojot performatīvu pastaigu un notikumu ciklu “Laiks, ausma vai garāmbraucošs vilciens”. Plašā jubilejas programma tiks atklāta ar svinībām visas dienas un nakts garumā 31. maijā Rīgā, un turpināsies ar unikālas formas ikmēneša pastaigām līdz šī gada oktobrim. Kultūras rondo tiekamies ar Latvijas Laikmetīgās mākslas centra direktori Solvitu Kresi un festivāla "Rīgas Mākslas nedēļa" izpilddirektori un kuratori Elīnu Drāki. Kopš LLMC dibināšanas 2000. gadā tā darbība būtiski ietekmējusi laikmetīgās mākslas attīstību Latvijā, piedāvājot māksliniekiem platformu radošai izpausmei un vairojot Latvijas laikmetīgās mākslas starptautisko atpazīstamību. LLMC aizsācis virkni būtisku procesu Latvijas kultūrtelpā, attīstot izglītības metodes un veicinot iekļaujošu pieeju mākslā. Bez piesaistes noteiktai vietai un izstāžu telpām, LLMC rīkotie pasākumi lielākoties notiek citu mākslas institūciju telpās. Organizācijas nomadiskais darbības veids iedvesmojis 25. gadadienas svinību formātu, rosinot uzlūkot LLMC kā dzīvu organismu – micēliju – kura darbības un ietekmes pavedieni izplatās caur mākslinieku, rakstnieku, dzejnieku, filosofu, pētnieku un kuratoru vadītām pastaigām, kopīgi kultūrkartējot pilsētvidi. Pasākumu cikla nosaukums “Laiks, ausma vai garāmbraucošs vilciens” ir atsauce uz vienu no ikoniskākajām Latvijas avangarda mākslas praksēm – “Gājieniem uz Bolderāju” – ko 80. gados īstenoja NSRD (Nebijušu sajūtu restaurēšanas darbnīca) dalībnieki.
