If you ever get upset at hearing an athlete makes 30 mil a year, just know, depending on which states he plays in that season, he could be only bringing home 17ish mil of that. Now that's still incredible money but a lot of their base gets taken up by a "jock tax." States charge thousands of dollars for teams to come in and play each season. Sam Darnold is negative 71 grand after winning the Superbowl because the Cali jock tax is so steep. What I want to know is where is all this money going? Certainly not into fixing potholes around your city. Didn't we fight an entire country to get away from this many taxes? For most states having the jock tax and seemingly not doing anything good with it, they should feel shame, shame, shame.
