Laura Lee's Sin Bin - USPTO
from WAPL Mornings with Laura Lee & Cutter · host Laura Lee and Cutter
Over the years, the US Patent and Trademark Office has allowed the naming of the "Kansas City Athletics" and the "Oakland Athletics. However, when the team went to grab the "Las Vegas Athletics," the USPTO said, nah son.. the term isn't distinctive enough to trademark. Excuse me? Did the person who reviewed the application wake up on the wrong side of the bed, hate baseball or just chose violence that day? This sounds on par for anything government related, but FFS, just give them the name. I'm exhausted for the Athletics just thinking about the person who has to deal with the USPTO. If someone knows who that is, let me know. I'd like to send them giftcards to Starbucks and Massage Envy. The USPTO, for just being the living definition of resting bitch face, should feel shame, shame, shame.
