The doctors told him that he would never be able to walk again. Through the support of his family and friends and full-time physical therapy, he slowly regained leg movement and the ability to walk. In 2017, he chased after he musical dreams, auditioned for American Idol, and made it all the way to Hollywood week. His life journey is documented in the film Back to Blackbird and he is about to release a song from his first album. Listen in to hear how David maintained the strength to follow his desires in life.Our final caller, Michael, is looking for advice on how to approach his pending retirement for he has always been a planner. Nancy advises him to call up a team meeting with his family and discuss his wishes with them. She encourages him to do things that he’s always wanted to do.
