from Living Full Out Show · host Nancy Solari - Living Full Out

Episode: 2019.5.31The Living Full Out show with Nancy Solari encourages you to make adjustments to your dream. Maybe you tend to single-mindedly chase after a goal, but in the process, you miss out on other opportunities that you may like even more. Perhaps you have been working toward one end result your whole life, but now, you’re starting to lose interest. By learning to make small shifts in your approach as you pursue your dreams, you will keep a cycle of motivation going and start moving forward. Our first caller, Mark, has just started a renovation and construction company, but feels conflicted on what prices to bid on jobs. He asks Nancy how he can keep from feeling wrong for requesting a certain amount. Nancy tells him that if he states his price confidently and keeps in mind both what he needs and what his customer wants, he will be able to find a compromise that works for them both. Tune in to hear strategies on how you can grow your own business. Our second caller, Sydney, wants to know how she can approach an older man, whom she has been seeing for a short time, and ask what his intentions are, without scaring him away. Nancy advises Sydney to start off with “I” statements, talking about what she wants in life, and as she does so, to watch how he reacts. Then, if she feels comfortable, Sydney can ask the big question. Listen in to learn how you can approach difficult conversations with friends, lovers, or family members. At the age of 19, our inspirational guest, Jami Marseilles, was stuck in a car in the middle of a blizzard for eleven days. When she was finally rescued, she was severely frostbitten and had developed gangrene in her legs, causing them to have to be amputated. Though she had avoided exercise before this incident, as she relearned to walk with prosthetics and became stronger through physical therapy, she discovered her love for running, and eventually went on to become a Paralympian, win several world records, and be the first “double below the knee amputee” woman to complete both a half and a full marathon. Tune in to hear how Jami adapted her goals and dreams to fit in with her life’s changes. Our final caller, Kimberly, asks Nancy how she can move on from a difficult relationship that ended with a lot of anger over how the other person wasted so much of her time. Nancy tells her that by letting her negative emotions overwhelm her, she is giving her power away, but she can take it back by reframing the situation and asking herself how this experience made her grow as a person. Listen in to hear how you can overcome your own strong feelings after a breakup.Maybe life’s circumstances have made it difficult or impossible for you to reach your original dream. It could be that you have lost your passion and are struggling to either find a new one or reignite your desire. Making adjustments along your path allows you to look at life from another angle and find a way to get to where you were meant to be, even if that turns out to be different than you thought. When you adapt your aspirations to your environment, you gain the ability to feel more fulfilled and live full out.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/living-full-out-show--1474350/support.
