With great anointing comes great responsibility, Samson was given a great anointing by God to be a judge of Israel. But because of his lack of self-control, this strong man lost his anointing, was compromised and then captured by the Gentile nation of the Philistines. In Samson, we can see a reflection of ourselves; broken and incomplete. Like Samson, when we're out of the will of God, we can become compromised in areas where we have no self-mastery. It is the compassion of God when we are given an intervention, had someone intervened on Samson's behalf, we may not read about him today, so we must beware if we will not receive correction. "and Jerusalem will be trampled under foot by the Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled." Luke 21:24
