Op 12 december 1935 richtte het naziregime Lebensborn op, een geboorteproject dat moest zorgen voor de toename van het ‘Arische ras’. Vijf jaar lang volgde fotograaf Angeniet Berkers de sporen van dit beladen verleden en sprak de kinderen die er ongevraagd deel vanuit hebben gemaakt. Hoe zag dat programma eruit? En wat betekende het voor de levens van deze mensen? Programmamaker Jakob Koolschijn maakte een documentaire over Lebensborn, gebaseerd op het werk van Berkers.
