Lee Chatametikool - Thai Film and Sound Editor - Tropical Malady, Syndromes and a Century, and Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives

Lee Chatametikool, a Thai film editor who studied filmmaking in the United States, is the founder of the post-production company, Houdini Studio. Lee is a frequent collaborator with Apichatpong Weerasethakul (known as Joe) and other Thai independent film directors, but has also worked on commercial films, including the hit Thai horror film, Shutter. Lee has worked with Joe on four films: Blissfully Yours, Tropical Malady, Syndromes and a Century, and Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives, each film having an unconventional use of the narrative film structure to tell a story. At the inaugural Asian Film Awards in Hong Kong, Lee won the Best Editor award for Syndromes and a Century.
