Director de Orquesta, compositor y guitarrista (toca, además el violonchelo, el clarinete, la percusión y el piano). Marca un hito en la historia de la guitarra. No sólo como gran intérprete sino además como compositor de primer orden para su instrumento. A lo largo de su vida compuso un centenar de filmes, docenas de obras de cámara , conciertos , obras sinfónicas , electroacústicas y por supuesto, obras para guitarra. Nos referimos a Leo Brouwer, músico cubano que nació un 1ero de marzo de 1939. Dicho músico que estudió composición con Vincent Persichetti en la Juilliard School of Music en Nueva York y la Stanford University en Connecticut , introdujo una nueva dimensión al idioma de la guitarra: la tradición afrocubana. Hoy escucharemos de este compositor una obra de melodía muy sencilla pero cargada de gran emotividad: Una día de noviembre interpretada por el mismo Leo Brouwer.
