Jesus instructed the disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit. He told us to be importunate about pursuing the Holy Spirit. Paul told us to hunger and yearn for the Spiritual Gifts. Why? Because we are in a spiritual war and we have an enemy committed to keeping these blessings away from us. Because these are the weapons that can defeat him.
