from Moxie Movez Caregivers 911 Hosted by Mica Saunders
Tune in to hear my interview with Teriko R. Epps Teriko R. Epps grew up in Baltimore City. She is the Principal and primary interior designer of Expressions…Of You, a 30+ year old, 100% women-owned, certified full service commercial and residential interior design firm. Teriko serves on two (2) Boards in an effort to give back to the community in areas for which she is passionate. King Edwards, Inc., a non-profit that prepares transitioning foster children for independent responsible adult living and the Memory and Aging Community Advisory Board (MACAB) which is instrumental in educating people on the issues surrounding dementia and Alzheimer’s Disease. Teriko is not a healthcare professional nor an authority on Alzheimer’s however she serves as a Caregiver Coach to encourage and support individuals who find themselves thrust into caregiving for their loved ones. Out of her caregiving experience, Teriko authored the book “Lessons Mother Taught Me (In Spite of Alzheimer’s)” in which short, easy to read and apply lessons, are shared to help navigate and ease tensions through the arduous caregiving journey. Although this specific disease is a basis, the lessons offered have been found to be beneficial in other caregiving situations. Her book “Lessons Mother Taught Me (In Spite of Alzheimer’s)” is available on Amazon.com and Ms. Epps is available to share with caregiving support groups
