Lessons On Jesus’ Triumphant Entry

The Triumphant Entry, also known as Palm Sunday, refers to the event in the Christian tradition when Jesus entered Jerusalem, riding on a donkey, just before the Jewish holiday of Passover.  Jesus rode into Jerusalem while crowds of people laid down their cloaks and palm branches on the ground in front of him, shouting "Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest heaven!" The people were hailing him as a king and savior, and the event is seen as a fulfillment of Old Testament prophecies about the coming of the Messiah.
