Let's Talk: Career Counselling with Jill Culver

from Deb Talks: Implementing Spirituality In Your Daily Life · host Deborah Small

This week on Deb Talks, Jill Culver and I talked about Career Counselling, Mid-life crisis, and much more. Connect with Jil Culver, RSW, MSW: Jill Culver is a Social Worker and Counsellor in private practice. She has three decades of experience in the helping professions, including work as a doula, outreach mental health clinician and hospital Social Worker. In her online private counselling practice, she works with clients seeking support and clarity around a variety of issues, including relationships, self-awareness,  healing childhood wounds and parenting concerns. She works from a trauma-informed, social justice, feminist narrative approach.  Jill has a special professional interest in career exploration and coaching. Most recently, she completed a Career Coaching Masterclass through UBC Extended Learning in order to deepen and strengthen this area of her practice. Through exploration, assessments, (fun!) exercises and conversations, Jill helps clients find work that aligns with their values, strengths, goals and lifestyle. Jill’s passion for helping others align with their ideal career led her to create a group coaching program for other Social Workers making the leap into Private Practice. This program covers the “nuts and bolts” of setting up and running a business, as well as the mental, emotional and spiritual components of seeking greater freedom through self-employment. She loves supporting other clinicians to create a life with more freedom, balance and autonomy.  Jill divides her time between Bellingham Washington and Vancouver BC. She has two awesome young adult children and two beloved fur babies. She enjoys spending time in nature, travelling, swimming, cycling, hanging out with friends on a patio, and practicing Bikram yoga.  www.jillculver.ca Connect with Deb: Would you like work 1-on-1 with Deborah?
