Elissa is trying to navigate the present over a perfect way of life, finding her way through motherhood and her ‘new’ identity, having recently undergone a hysterectomy, due to suffering from fibroids. Elissa is warm, bubbly and when she reached out to share her story, she wanted to do so in the hope that she can bring awareness to others. We talk about how Elissa came to know she had fibroids and her debilitating experience with them, which ultimately led to her needing a hysterectomy.
