Letters 4 the Environment help locals with Draft Buffel Grass Plan survey 2026

Jacqueline Arnold and Adrian Tomlinson, co Administrators for LECA - Letters for the Environment Central Australia, spoke with 8CCC's Kate Lyons-Dawson about ways listeners can participate in the Draft Buffel Grass Weed Management Plan Survey before time runs out by Thursday 12 February. With regular pop ups at the Todd Mall markets and at Yeperenye Shopping Centre, they have kept the community informed of aspects to the plan they may not be aware of, how it affects us all, and ways to be heard. The Central Land Council - CLC have also weighed in with their assessment of what's proposed. “The draft plan, which was quietly released before Christmas for a short public comment period, allows pastoralists to keep importing and spreading buffel seeds."
