🔥 SHABBAT DAY LESSON — LEVITICUS 23Teachers: Kerry & Karen BattleWHAT WE COVERLeviticus 23 establishes the appointed times of Yahuah.This chapter defines His commanded gatherings, His appointed seasons, His required rest, His feast order, and how Israel is commanded to remember, appear, count, afflict, rejoice, and dwell before Him.This is not a religious calendar.This is not man-made tradition.This is covenant time governed by Yahuah.The Appointed Times Belong to YahuahLeviticus 23:1–2Yahuah calls these His feasts.They are His appointed times.They are to be proclaimed as qodesh convocations.This establishes that man does not own the calendar.Yahuah does.The Weekly SabbathLeviticus 23:3The seventh day is the Sabbath of Yahuah.It is a Sabbath of rest and a qodesh convocation.This is not self-defined rest.This is Yahuah’s weekly appointed order.PassoverLeviticus 23:4–5Passover is appointed on the fourteenth day of the first month at evening.It remembers deliverance from Egypt by the command of Yahuah.This is not replaceable.This is Yahuah’s memorial.Unleavened BreadLeviticus 23:6–8Unleavened Bread is a seven-day feast unto Yahuah.It begins on the fifteenth day of the first month.The first day is a qodesh convocation.The seventh day is a qodesh convocation.Servile work is forbidden on both.This feast is not only about eating unleavened bread.It is not a one-day food idea.It is a seven-day appointed feast, tied to gathering, rest, obedience, and appearing before Yahuah according to Torah.FirstfruitsLeviticus 23:9–14The first sheaf of the harvest is brought before Yahuah before the harvest is eaten.This establishes order.The first belongs to Yahuah before the rest is used.WeeksLeviticus 23:15–22Weeks requires counting.Seven Sabbaths must be complete.The fiftieth day is reached by obedience to the count.This feast also places righteousness toward the poor and stranger inside harvest obedience.TrumpetsLeviticus 23:23–25The first day of the seventh month is a memorial of blowing.It is a qodesh convocation.The sound calls attention, remembrance, and readiness before Yahuah.AtonementLeviticus 23:26–32The tenth day of the seventh month is the Day of Atonement.It requires affliction of soul.It requires no work.It is a Sabbath of rest.This is one of the weightiest appointed days in the chapter.TabernaclesLeviticus 23:33–43Tabernacles is a seven-day feast unto Yahuah.Israel is commanded to rejoice before Yahuah and dwell in booths.This teaches the generations that Yahuah made the children of Israel dwell in booths when He brought them out of Egypt.This feast is not private reflection.It is commanded remembrance through obedience.The Eighth DayLeviticus 23:36, 39The eighth day is a qodesh convocation and solemn assembly.No servile work is permitted.The feast does not close by man’s decision.Yahuah commands the closing assembly.WHY THIS MESSAGE MATTERSLeviticus 23 removes confusion about time, gathering, rest, and remembrance.Yahuah does not leave His appointed times to human invention.He defines them.He commands them.He owns them.This chapter exposes a false assumption:That man can honor Yahuah while ignoring the times Yahuah called His own.He cannot.If Yahuah appointed the time, man has no authority to replace it.If Yahuah commanded seven days, man has no authority to reduce it.If Yahuah commanded appearing, man has no authority to erase it.If Yahuah commanded rest, man has no authority to make it common.The appointed times teach obedience, memory, order, humility, rejoicing, and covenant identity.They belong to Yahuah.ABOUT AHAVA ~ LOVE ASSEMBLYWe teach the pure Word of Yahuah.No religion.No tradition.No compromise.Teaching is established by Scripture only, line upon line, precept upon precept.SUPPORT THE WORK — GIVE VIA ZELLEZelle QR available at:ahavaloveministry.comZelle only.
