We welcome back returning guest Brenda Maeder, who you might have heard before on our show. Brenda has a wonderful special needs dog, Jamie, who is living his very best and most loved life, in spite of being both blind and deaf. Today we talked a bit about things that go into making a solid decision about the best dog for you and your household—size, temperament, activity level, finances, and personal preferences. All these things should be considered when making that choice and weighing those options will help ensure that the you and your dog are a good fit—and will reduce the number who have to be rehomed, or even returned to the shelter.
