She then taught middle and high school science for 13 years and now teaches high school biology and Earth science outside of Columbus, and just entered her 21st year of teaching (a feat in itself). Married for 13 years, her marriage ended in 2021. Kelly has been embarking on a healing journey ever since. She became a lifeguard in 2022 and began managing a pool full time in the summer, eventually agreeing to spend most of her life with high school kids and learning their ever-changing language. In what little spare time she has left, she enjoys playing volleyball, going birding, long walks with the new pup and avoiding terrible dates. Kelly hopes to inspire/warn others with the vulnerability of her story.
