We sat down with Damien Bugeja - runner, charity founder, barista and a conversation starter.Through life experiences of losing his Father, becoming a carer and mental health struggles Damien learned that with life we need empathy. All people want is love, belonging and connection. He shifted his focus from 'me' to 'we'.In 2020 Damien ran from Craigieburn to Mulwala - 290 km to raise funds for the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre then again a 24 hour marathon around the Maribyrnong River. This week he'll be doing the vulnerability 48 hour run around the Marby to bring together community and just maybe have some meaningful conversations. Anyone can join in - we'll be getting down there for a couple of laps too.His story is phenomenal, he is phenomenal and there are some definite life bangers in this episode.
