Life Issues - Human Sacrifice

In the latest example of abortion being used as human sacrifice, a British woman has made the news for defending her choice to kill her child so she could go on vacation.  The young mother of two said that she is happy she aborted her third child, in part because she didn’t want her family to suffer by not going on vacation.   While this may not sound the same as the horrific examples of ancient child sacrifice, in principle it is the same. Sacrifice is defined as, “giving up something of value, for the sake of a higher purpose.”  To this mother, her own child was less important than family vacation, so she killed her baby just like the ancient Aztecs killed babies in hopes of a good harvest that year.
