Lifting You Higher

from A Constant Becoming · host AConstantBecoming

Can you focus on your deepest connections? On the ones that reach into your center and lift you higher? Can you feed energy to them? Can you feel it return to you, not as an exchange but simply because the other person wants to feed you as much as you want to feed them? Can you recognize how rare that is and know you are a part of it, that you are a part of true love? One of the things I’ve come to believe in life is that certain connections we have are qualitatively different than the rest. It’s not about love per se, it’s about the strength of the connection, about how purely energy flows from one side of it to the other. When you encounter the right person, it’s an endless loop of energy flowing back and forth. But the right people are rare. And I think we sometimes miss them because we don’t see the energy in motion. We feel it in moments where it happens, if we are paying attention; but, because there is no visible sign, it can slip by us. I’m very conscious these days of those people in my life and I truly give thanks for them every day.As you read this I wonder:* Have you felt the difference between connections, those that are special versus those that are more normal?* Do you consciously feed energy where it returns to you?* Have you told just one of those people what they mean to you? When I wrote this, I wrote the word true love. Maybe that’s right in a certain sense, but the love I mean here is different than the way true love is often used. As you start the week, can you give thanks, in your mind and in your words, for those who flow energy back to you. This is a public episode.
