Lindsay Clancy Trial: ER Doctors and Officers Detail Her Injuries and the Children's

from True Crime Today | Daily True Crime News & Interviews · host Real Story Media

Jurors in Plymouth Superior Court heard from five witnesses today in the murder trial of Lindsay Clancy, the Duxbury, Massachusetts mother accused of strangling her three children — 5-year-old Cora, 3-year-old Dawson, and 7-month-old Callan — with exercise resistance bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023. Clancy faces three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation, has pleaded not guilty, and is mounting an insanity defense through attorney Kevin Reddington centered on severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication.Duxbury Police Officers Mark Anthony Maffeo and Richard Lippard testified about the scene they responded to and Clancy's condition when they got there. Emergency physicians Dr. Mark Josephtenerowicz and Dr. Benjamin Kaufman followed, laying out her health on arrival at the hospital alongside the injuries the children had sustained. Lab Supervisor Melissa Arcadipane closed out the day with testimony on the clinical processing that followed. It's the kind of testimony that doesn't need a narrator to make it hit — officers and doctors just describing what they saw and treated, one after another. That's the prosecution's strategy in a case like this: no theatrics, just a documented record for the jury to sit with before the defense makes its case for a mind that wasn't working right. Clancy is now paralyzed from the waist down after allegedly jumping from a second-story window following the killings. Her husband, Patrick Clancy, was out running errands at the time and has since relocated to Manhattan. Judge William F. Sullivan is presiding, with ADAs Jennifer Sprague and Shanan Buckingham prosecuting.Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
