Lindsay Clancy Trial: The Pharmacy Call and the Dinner Order That Night

from True Crime Today | Daily True Crime News & Interviews · host Real Story Media

Prosecutors are building the case one ordinary moment at a time. Today, that meant two witnesses in the murder trial of Lindsay Clancy — the Duxbury, Massachusetts mother accused of strangling her three children, Cora (5), Dawson (3), and Callan (7 months), with exercise resistance bands inside the family's Summer Street home on January 24, 2023. Clancy faces three counts of murder and three counts of strangulation, has pleaded not guilty, and is pursuing an insanity defense through attorney Kevin Reddington centered on severe postpartum psychosis and psychiatric overmedication.Angela Krause, general manager of the CVS in Kingston, testified that Clancy called the pharmacy directly to ask about a specific medication. Investigators separately requested surveillance footage from the day Patrick Clancy came in to pick that prescription up — a detail the jury now has, with no explanation yet of what it's meant to show. Then Saria Sweeney Shelgren, a hostess at ThreeV restaurant in Plymouth, testified she took an order from Clancy that same night. Her voice, Shelgren said, wasn't slurred or impaired. A man picked the food up. It's not a dramatic detail on its own, but it's exactly the kind of thing the state wants on record when the defense is arguing psychiatric breakdown. That's the pattern with this stretch of testimony: timeline, timeline, timeline. Prosecutors are stacking small, verifiable facts to account for every hour before three children were killed. Afterward, Clancy allegedly attempted suicide by jumping from a second-story window and is now paralyzed from the waist down. Her husband, Patrick, was out running errands at the time and has since relocated to Manhattan. The trial continues in Plymouth Superior Court.Links:Join Our SubStack For AD-FREE ADVANCE EPISODES & EXTRAS!: https://hiddenkillers.substack.com/Want to comment and watch this podcast as a video?
