Max Lawrence joins Sarah & Dinah in the Local Roots studio for this week’s Jam Session. Each week we bring in an independent artist to perform and share their music live in the studio just for you.   Melbourne singer/songwriter Max Lawrence specialises in intimate, soulful songs that span alt-pop, indie electronic and ambient folk. With a rich lower range and a soaring falsetto, Max sings about opening up to the beauty of nature, our inner selves and to each other through majestic choruses and dynamic live performance. His songs also explore darker subject matter complemented with skin-crawling textures, haunting melodies and driving beats, akin to that of Perfume Genius, or Moses Sumney; but with the avant pop sensibility of Lorde and Bjork.
