She previously worked as an educator and member of the central services team at Schools of the Sacred Heart, as well as a staff member of the Boys & Girls Club of San Francisco. Rika holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in History from California State University, Hayward, and is a certified CalSAC trainer who has presented at dozens of conferences and workshops.
