Living & Proclaiming A New & Higher Way Of Living Based On Revelation

from The Cosmic Citizen · host Paula Thompson

Jesus asked his followers to dedicate their lives to the regeneration of all humankind, by living and proclaiming a new and higher way of life.  In our generation, The Urantia Book asks us to take up this same call and it provides the guidance we need, in great detail, to begin to address this mission.  If we could develop a dynamic evolutionary movement, that powerfully conveyed the spiritual essence of the revelation, in a form that ministered to large numbers of people in varied cultures around the world, what might it look like? This week on the Cosmic Citizen, we will be joined by Marvin Gawryn who has given decades to exploring the Urantia Book's teachings on this very subject. He will share with us his research, study and conclusions as well as many of the intriguing and thought provoking passages that the Urantia revelation provides as an outline for just such a religious movement. Long time Urantia students may be surprised by the frequency and openness with which the book addresses this subject. We hope you can join us as we imagine together what shape this movement might take. Marvin Gawryn has been a student of The Urantia Book for forty-seven years, leading study groups and serving in various capacities in the Urantia Book Fellowship for much of that time.  He is retired after thirty years in practice as a family therapist, and currently provides coaching and consulting services part time.  He and his wife Francyl live in Boulder City, Nevada, and have two grown daughters and their first grandchild.
