Living With Anxiety
from Embrace It All! · host Angela Adams
For as long as I can remember, anxiety has always been a constant companion of mine. We hear this word everywhere, and some have even described it as the new “buzzword”. Perhaps meaning that this word is used to describe all the emotions we feel, or, emotions we don’t want to feel. The word anxiety has become almost an everyday term over the last two years. So, in a sense, it has become a new buzzword. But chronic anxiety is real. I know because I have an ongoing struggle with General Anxiety Disorder. In today's episode I share my own journey with GAD, and how I thought that anxiety defined me. I felt hopeless, like I was doing something wrong. There were days when I felt like I was barely hanging on. It took over 20 years, of praying, researching, and trying everything I could, to finally seek professional help. I was so relieved to finally discover that my anxiety had a name. Over the years I have continued to learn and use all the tools available to me to manage my anxiety. When I found Life Coaching, I felt as though my toolbox is complete. I no longer feel like my anxiety manages me. I manage it! I have included a link to one of my favorite tools I use to manage anxiety. It works! And I want to share it with you.
