Liz Lyles: Top U.S. Female at Kona on Her Rise To Success, Being Full-Time Mom, and More
from Endurance Planet
Pro triathlete Liz Lyles http://www.lizlyles.com/ was this year's top U.S. female in the Ironman World Championships going 9:18:11, in a stacked field of American ladies (13 who raced, in fact!). Liz started triathlon in 2002, but gave it up for a while to have kids. She resumed the sport and got her pro card. Since then she's been on fire winning two Ironmans and proving to be a dominant force at long-distance triathlon. In this show we get to know Liz and her story, juggling life as a pro triathlete and mom to two little ones, all about her race in Kona this year (read her full blog here http://lizlyles.wordpress.com/2014/10/19/everything-happens-for-a-reason/), racing dynamics of the bike for pro women with AG men in the mix (including thoughts on Frankfurt this year where she was 2nd as well as Kona this year), what's next on her racing schedule (hint: it's coming up), and more!
