Losing Everything

from The Kathryn Zox Show · host Kathryn Zox

Kathryn interviews writer, speaker and blogger Suzanne Falter, author of Surrendering to Joy: My Year of Love, Letting Go and Forgiveness. For Suzanne Falter, 2012 was a year filled with one heartbreaking situation after another. It began with the divorce of her 25-year marriage, followed by the end of a relationship she'd just given up her home for. A successful business also closed at the same time. One month later, her 22-year-old daughter suddenly died, followed six months later by her mother. Suzanne was left with nothing except a small storage unit, a few suitcases, her car and enough money to live comfortably for a while. And the awareness that life had just fallen apart for a reason. Thus began her exploration of one central question: How do you become happy again once you truly lose everything? Felter's work has been featured in The New York Times, Woman's Day, The Wall Street Journal, and SELF.
