Near the end of the tribulation, a Satan-sent beast arises.  He might be the political leader of a final world empire that is opposed to Christ's reign.  People marvel and follow and worship him. (Opps. Classic mistake: worshipping the created rather than the Creator.)Believers are conquered by him in the sense that they are killed by him. Believers conquer HIM by "the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives, even unto death."
