Love and Hate - 1 John 3:13-24

John warns us that Love and Hate is the difference between life and death. Love is evidence that we have passed from death to life. God is love; if we are born of His spirit we should love one another. The one who hates his brother abides in darkness and does not walk in the light. Jesus Christ is our example of love in that He laid down His life for a people who sinned against God. We too should lay down our lives, for one another, in sacrificial love. As a church, we should be examples of love to the world and other churches, not in word or tongue but in deed and truth.
