Love Isn’t Proven When It’s Easy | John 15:12
from Northman Coaching · host Northman Coaching
Do you truly love people—or do you only love them when they make loving them easy?In John 15:12, Jesus says, “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.”Jesus does not present love as a suggestion or something we practice only when we feel like it. He commands it because feelings change. It is easy to love someone who agrees with you, appreciates you, and gives you what you need. The real test comes when someone disappoints you, frustrates you, or has nothing to offer in return.Christ-like love is patient, sacrificial, honest, and intentional. But love does not mean accepting abuse, enabling destructive behavior, or abandoning healthy boundaries. Sometimes love offers encouragement. Sometimes it forgives. Sometimes it speaks a difficult truth, establishes a boundary, or allows someone to experience the consequences of their choices.Christ did not merely tell us He loved us—He demonstrated it. Now He commands us to do the same.Choose one person today and love them intentionally. Listen without interrupting. Offer encouragement. Forgive an offense. Tell the truth with compassion. Or simply show up when someone needs you.Ready to strengthen your faith alongside men committed to love, truth, accountability, and genuine growth?
