Beats with bits Podcast Sergio Miranda Some hypnotic, dark and beautifully crafted beats for your ears!Sergio Miranda, a Mexico-born Belgium resident, found his passion for the world of vinyl, turntables and the DJ culture at the lawless warehouses and outdoor parties that took the streets of Mexico City in the late 80s.His love for those early house / acid / techno sounds and the dark electronic melodies from new wave and rock bands such as New Order, Depeche Mode and The Cure, meant he soon started working as a lighting technician before getting his first taste behind the decks in the early 90s.As of that moment and for more than a decade, he has enjoyed a long and varied DJ career: he has played in many clubs in Mexico City, hotels in Cancun, the Dominican Republic and Fuerteventura Spain. In conjunction with this, Sergio has also held the position of sound and lighting technician for several musical theatre productions. After a few years of self-imposed abstinence and building on the existing technical possibilities, Black and Blue: Behind the Badge Blanchard House/Curiouscast For Michael Morrison, the police badge is his future: his ambition, his way out of poverty, his ‘American dream’. But once he puts on his uniform, the badge starts to mean something very different.Michael takes on a new identity – but not the one he expects. Inside the force, he faces racism and violence, and on the streets he’s surrounded by hostility. Michael is stuck in the middle, between being Black and being a police officer. And when a routine day at work goes wrong and his career is thrown into crisis, Michael is forced to pick a side.In this new, limited podcast series hosted by Seren Jones, Michael and others like him finally get to tell their story: a story that has made them question everything they thought they knew about justice, community, and, ultimately, what it means to be both Black and Blue: Behind the Badge.  . Beyond Streets Beyond Streets Podcast Rethinking How We Move, Build, and LiveBeyond Streets explores the everyday impact of transportation on our lives, neighborhoods, and futures. More than roads and rails, transportation is a mirror of our values — safety, connection, opportunity, and access. In each episode, we go beyond the headlines and into communities, talking with organizers, policymakers, builders, and residents who are reimagining what it means to move through the world. From housing to health, climate to equity, we uncover how smarter, people-first transportation can unlock better futures — and what’s standing in the way. If you're ready to ask bold questions, challenge ineffective systems, and explore what's truly possible, you're in the right place.
