Love Your Enemies
from Wear Scriptures with Dionne Cameron Hosted by Dionne Cameron
Just as Jesus had many enemies, He warned us that we, as His disciples, would also be persecuted and have many enemies also. However, He commands us to love and to pray for our physical enemies, because they are under the power and the deception of the enemy, satan. "And the Lord's servant must not be quarrelsome but must be kind to everyone, able to teach, not resentful. Opponents must be gently instructed, in the hope that God will grant them repentance leading them to a knowledge of the truth, and that they will come to their senses and escape from the trap of the devil, who has taken them captive to do his will," 2 Timothy 2:24-26.
