LPP #16 Creativity is Calling with Macy Walker

Closing out February with a true visionary & one of my very good friends: Macy Walker. I’ve personally known Macy for over five years. We met while working together at an interior design firm. I didn’t know it on my first day of work, but she lived in my apartment building. Funny story I had actually walked to work on my first day because my husband and I only had one car at the time. It was June and we live in SC so as you can imagine it got hot (and humid) early on in the day. So you can imagine the gratitude I had for Macy when she offered to drive me to work every morning. Pretty much from that day on we were attached at the hip. And it didn’t take long for me to see that this girl was a real a real go-getter. She had vision, knew what she liked, and had an incredible work ethic – all of which I really respected & admired! She eventually moved back to her home state of Mississippi in 2013. And It was no surprise to me that later that same year, she had started not one but two of her companies: The Mill : Design + Home & its sister company:Macy Carlisle     The Mill : Design + Home is her brick & mortar boutique. It’s a carefully curated one-stop shop for home furnishings + accessories as well as apparel and her jewelry line: Macy Carlisle Designs.
