LPP #35 Owning Your Craft with Jen Moreau

from Liveng Proof Podcast · host Engrid Latina: Entrepreneur, Fitness Trainer and Blogger

Jen Moreau | co-owner: Dapper Ink | co-founder:The Indie Craft parade | Facebook:@dapperink  | Instagram: @dapperink  Dapper Ink 207 Wade Hampton Blvd., Greenville SC 29609 |  Monday thru Friday 11am ’til 6pm | Dapper Ink: Email In this episode I’m speaking with Jen Moreau, together she and her husband Matt Moreau founded Dapper Ink (@dapperink on Facebook), which is a print and graphic design company here in Greenville SC – offering skilled printers & designers for hire. Jen is also one of the founders of The Indie Craft Parade  — a festival showcasing local, handmade art which first began in 2010. Three years later she co-founded and became the community director for The Makers Collective which was created to best serve the creative community and to unify all of their initiatives under a singular organization. One of The Makers Collective main incentives includes The Makers Summit,  an annual business conference for creative entrepreneurs. Additionally The Makers Collective hosts dozens of workshops, seminars, and gatherings  throughout the year.     Jen is beyond passionate about not only helping Dapper Ink‘s customers create incredible products but also the contentment of her team. You guys may remember from episode 34, where Bill Mitchell mentioned Jen, and how much both she and her husband Matt welcomed him with open arms when he was in a pinch and had no place to set up shop. Jen is quite literally the definition of what it means to be down-to-earth. She’s a huge outdoor enthusiast. And a lover of waffles.     This episode reminds me of a quote from novelist Michael Korda: “In the final analysis, the one quality that all successful people have is the ability to take on responsibility” and I would also include that successful people have a knack for being able to walk through their fears. Jen is such a strong example of what it means to do both of these things. In this episode we discuss what it’s like to run a business with your spouse, the desire to feel competent amongst your peers, the effects of birth order and personality accepting your strengths and playing to them, & recognizing what you are NOT good at, giving yourself permission to let go of trying to be something you are not, and the willingness to learn as you go.     LIVENGPROOF.COM facebook | instagram | twitter LISTEN ON iTUNES ????????????
